Conditions (The Large Print)

Mooncoyn will normally be the sole artist at an event. Should you wish to employ additional artist(s) for your event (disco, solo vocalist etc.), this must be discussed prior to booking and agreed with Mooncoyn. This will be incorporated into the booking form under “special requirements”.

We require an adequate mains power supply for our lighting and sound equipment. This should meet all electrical safety regulations and be capable of supplying a minimum of 13 amps.

The band’s fee shall be paid to the performers on the night which we would like you to make available to the performers in cash.

If, once the booking has been confirmed you decide that you do not want to go ahead with this booking, the band must be notified as soon as possible and the cancellation confirmed in writing to the address above. Please note that a cancellation charge will be made if:

    • The cancellation is made after booking form returned – 50%
    • The cancellation is made within 1 month of the booked date –75%
    • The cancellation is made within 1 weeks of the booked date –100%

Recording or broadcasting of any part of Mooncoyn’s performance can only be made with the express permission of the band.

Access to stage/performance area should be restricted to band and associates only. (In order to make the event run as successfully as possible, it is preferable to exclude guests from the room in which the event is being held, and restrict to essential venue staff and the band and associates, whilst the band is setting up and sound checking).

Mooncoyn’s Public Liability Insurance covers only what we have control over.

The event organiser shall be responsible for behaviour of guests.

The venue management shall be responsible for behaviour and safety of their staff.

The venue/event organiser shall be responsible for communicating fire/evacuation drill.

The venue must be safe in relation to fire and evacuation safety.

The venue shall hold all appropriate performance licenses

Mooncoyn will be happy to supply copies of our Public Liability Insurance, Portable Appliance Safety Test details, Radio Microphone Licence and Risk Assessment documentation (generic), at any time from time of booking.

Venue/event specific risk assessment can be provided on completion of venue inspection within 4 weeks of event. An additional charge of may be levied to cover the inspection and assessment costs. Please note that Mooncoyn will not accept “unsatisfactory risk assessment” as reason for cancellation without cancellation charge if not requested within 12 weeks of event date.

Both Mooncoyn and The Hirer will respect any genuine “Act of God”, such as weather or illness in the unlikely event the event has to be cancelled at short notice.

Mooncoyn will endeavour to arrange for a similar band to deputise should an “Act of God” occur.
